The time is almost upon us when the Autobots will come exploding back onto the big screen in the upcoming adventure Transformers: Age of Extinction.

In fact, today makes it exactly one week until the film’s release.

When the Autobots do come blasting back onto the screen to help the human race fight off yet another attack from outer space, one of the epic songs you hear in the background will be a song called “Battle Cry” from rock band Imagine Dragons.

Now, if you missed the Transformers: Age of Extinction World Premiere Red Carpet event yesterday, then you missed out on an opportunity to see Imagine Dragons play a 45-minute set which included the new track from the film.

Oh, who am I kidding, you can see it right here.

However, before their song ever made it into the film, the group underwent an amazing journey to create the track along with composer Steve Jablonsky and the legendary Hans Zimmer.

The group describes how they had just finished touring for the last two years and weren’t looking to get involved in anything new just yet, but as they said, “When Michael Bay wants to talk to you, you don’t ignore him.”

Take a look at the latest featurette for Transformers: Age of Extinction where the members of Imagine Dragons recount their amazing journey into the Transformers universe.

Transformers: Age of Extinction is scheduled to be released in RealD 3D, IMAX 3D, and Conventional Theaters on June 27, 2014.
