The Miami Heat were bounced in embarrassing fashion from the NBA Finals this month and after hearing his star player voice doubt over wanting to return to the team, Heat president Pat Riley went off on the media this week in a tirade that seemed to suggest he was a little more than frustrated with the results of the season.

More from LeBron James

But the Heat have some major questions ahead of them when it comes to what their roster will look like next season and one of the biggest questions is if LeBron James will stay in South Beach. In his presser, Riley was adamant that he thinks LeBron will stay in Miami but one NBA executive is interpreting this as Riley being nervous he’s losing his star player.

There has been a growing number of reports suggesting he’s not happy with the team’s lack of spending this past offseason and the NBA Finals loss thanks to there being terrible depth on the roster sems to only justify LeBron’s stance.

Riley was pretty desperate in his press conference and seemed to publicly call out LeBron, challenging him to stay. We’ll see if that’s a good strategy, but things might start falling apart in Miami sooner than we think.
