Rajon Rondo: Boston Celtics need more than Kevin Love
The Boston Celtics are pursuing Minnesota Timberwolves’ power forward Kevin Love.

Reports have suggested that Love would be interested in playing for the Celtics. He even recently took a vacation to Boston and met with Celtics’ point guard Rajon Rondo at a Red Sox game at Fenway Park.
Rondo would obviously love to have Love as a teammate, but knows the Celtics need a lot more pieces than just Love.
"Rondo said the rebuilding Celtics need more than Love, though.“We need a couple pieces, but having a guy like Kevin Love wouldn’t hurt, as well,” Rondo said.And if the Celtics don’t land Love, Rondo said he will understand.“No. I can’t go to sleep every night wanting to try to play with Kevin Love,” Rondo said. “Right now I’ve got to go with what we have now in our locker room and coach [Brad] Stevens, so that’s what I’m focused on now.”"
Rondo was limited just 30 games while returning from his knee injury and averaged 11.7 points, 9.8 assists, 5.5 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game. He shot 40.3% from the field, 28.9% from beyond the arc and 62.7% from the free throw line.
The Golden State Warriors now appear to the favorites to land Love. They are reportedly willing to take guard Kevin Martin from the Minnesota Timberwolves and will be making guard Klay Thompson available. Power forward David Lee, a future first round pick and one of the two’ young Warriors’ forwards, Harrison Barnes or Draymond Green, could also be involved in the deal.
