It was only a matter of time before the Batman franchise was rebooted and rather than wait the standard amount of time, Warner Brothers is launching into production on Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice which is slated to be released in May 2016.

In addition to that, we heard a rumor this week that the first stand alone Ben Affleck Batman movie titled The Batman would be released in 2019 and there’s a good chance that we see the next big screen incarnation of his sidekick Robin featured. As if the hunt for a new Batman actor wasn’t thrilling enough, the search for the next Robin is going to be one of the more talked about casting decisions we’ve seen recently.

It may not be that hard of a choice though, as Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe is already lobbying for the role of Robin.

Per Buzzfeed:

“Batman,” he said during the BuzzFeed rapid-fire interview. “If they reboot that again, I’ll do that, too. It’s happening isn’t it? With Ben Affleck. I could be Robin. I’m perfect.”

As if Batman fans weren’t pissed off enough about Ben Affleck being cast as Batman, internet message board users might have a collective stroke if he’s joined by Harry Potter as his sidekick. Neither Radcliffe nor Affleck are that bad of actors, but pairing them together as Batman and Robin will spawn an endless stream of memes that the internet might actually break.
