NBA Rumors: LeBron James would like to play with Eric Bledsoe
By Sam Richmond
It’s well known that LeBron James is always interested in playing alongside his good friends. It’s at least part of the reason why he joined Dwyane Wade in Miami four years ago.
It should come as no surprise that the Sun Sentinel’s Ira Winderman is reporting that LeBron James would love to play with his good friend and have Eric Bledsoe join the Heat.
It may seem trivial, but it’s worth mentioning that Bledsoe was the only non-Heat player to be featured in LeBron’s Samsung commercial that debuted before the start of this past season, shouldn’t come as any sort of surprise.
However, as Winderman notes, the chances the Miami is actually able to give LeBron what he wants and bring the talented guard to South Beach are extremely slim. The 24-year-old, fresh of a season in which he averaged 17.7 points, 5.5 assists and 4.7 rebounds, is in store for a monster pay day, something the Miami Heat can’t afford to give, considering their current financial situation.
Also, Bledsoe’s status as a restricted free agent gives the Phoenix Suns the opportunity to make any free agent offer given to him. With Phoenix making it fairly clear they’ll do just that, even if Miami is able to come up with a respectable offer for LeBron’s buddy, it’s highly unlikely Bledsoe is in a Heat uniform anytime soon.
