Australia vs Spain, World Cup: Staring XIs

Australia and Spain have already been eliminated from the World Cup, but they still have their final group stage game to play. Both teams are playing some reserve players in the game instead of their starters.

For instance, Spain is playing Liverpool goal keeper Pepe Reina instead of Iker Casillas. It will be Reina’s first World Cup game, and an honor he has waited a long time for and deserved.

“I will be fulfilling every player’s dream by featuring at a World Cup. I’m delighted and proud to represent Spain. It is going to be special,” Reina said, via the Liverpool Echo.

“We can’t go through any more, but we’d like to give a decent account of ourselves. That’s always our aim when we pull on the shirt. We need to improve to save face and bow out with dignity.”
