We’re just days away from the 2014 NBA Draft and the question marks surrounding Julius Randle continue to mount. First there was the whole ‘injury’ situation where many believed that Randle would need to undergo a somewhat precautionary surgery before training camp, immediately striking fear into NBA front offices.

More from Boston Celtics

For what it’s worth, Julius Randle has denied such claims and believes he’ll be fine moving forward. It remains to be seen if NBA teams with lottery picks in Thursday’s 2014 NBA Draft will feel the same, though, they’re probably not overly thrilled with the latest report suggesting that Randle skipped a workout for a magazine interview.

That’s the word from ESPN scribe Chad Ford who says Randle opted to skip a workout with the Boston Celtics for the interview with GQ.

Now, it’s completely possible that Julius Randle rescheduled the potential workout with the Celtics for a later day that nobody knows about. I have a difficult time believing his agent would allow the former Kentucky Wildcat talent to skip out on such for a simple magazine interview unless he had no interest in being drafted by the Celtics, though that doesn’t appear to be the case.

Still, it’s probably not the best look and I’m sure NBA general managers who are famous for over analyzing every little thing will be less than enthused.

Randle has been projected to be a top ten pick with some believing he could go as high as No. 6 to the Celtics. The Los Angeles Lakers are also said to have interest in the forward.
