NBA Draft Rumors: Lakers have three or four trades for No. 7 pick?
By Bryan Rose
The Los Angeles Lakers have made no secret of their desire to trade the No. 7 pick in the 2014 NBA Draft. Looking to return to the postseason, the Lakers will need to fill out their roster with veteran talent and one way to obtain such is by trading away their lottery pick.

Of course, that’s been a bit difficult considering the Boston Celtics and Sacramento Kings, who own the No. 6 and No. 8 picks in the draft are also doing the same thing and are said to be looking to acquire a similar veteran. Still, all that said the Lakers still have a variety of options including a handful of potential trade scenarios, this according to Basketball Insiders.
“There is a sense that the Lakers have three or four deals they could do with the seventh pick, including several “move down” scenarios. The Lakers have been looking at several draft prospects that project significantly lower than their seventh pick, so they have done their homework on moving down.”
There have been a multitude of teams like the Philadelphia 76ers, Milwaukee Bucks and Chicago Bulls who are either attempting to obtain another top ten pick or in the case of the Bulls, break into the top ten so the Los Angeles Lakers should have options if they want to make a move.
Of course, teams are reluctant to make a deal until the draft board starts to shake itself out, so we might need to wait until draft night to see if the Lakers do indeed make a move.
