4. Which projected second-round pick has the best “steal” potential?

Miles Wray (@mileswray): Walter Tavares. The man playing in the tough Spanish league at just 22 years old (and led the league in blocks per game) — while only having played basketball for four years! Draft him, stash him, and you’ll have one of the most compelling players in the league come 2017.

Brian Schroeder (@Cosmis): Damien Inglis, Walter Tavares, or Spencer Dinwiddie. (Ed. note: And the Spurs will probably get at least one of them.)

Eric Maroun (@ejmaroun): Aaron Craft. Did you SEE him play defense at Ohio Sta…oh, you meant a different type of steal didn’t you? In that case, I have a feeling Cleanthony Early, Glenn Robinson, and Patric Young are going to make some teams picking in the top half of the second round very happy.

Dane Carbaugh (@danecarbaugh): Mitch McGary. What if he is the next Steven Adams? Wait, are we already trying to find the next Steven Adams? What am I doing with my life.

Kevin McElroy (@knickerbacker): I like Patric Young as a second-unit NBA big. He’ll fall because he’s not a complete player, but he’s a guy with a very easily identifiable role.

Scott Rafferty (@crabdribbles): Thanasis Antetokounmpo would, ideally, spend at least another season in the D-League to hone his skills, but I still like him as an NBA prospect. At the very least, he’ll provide some team with relentless defense and a never-say-die attitude. There’s also a chance that he develops into your prototypical 3-and-D guy, which could make him a good rotational player somewhere.
