UFC officials have finally added the delayed finale of The Ultimate Fighter: China featherweight tournament to the upcoming UFC event from Macau, UFC Fight Night: Bisping vs. Le.
Yang Jianping will square off with Ning Guangyou on August 23 from Cotai Arena. The match was delayed earlier in the year due to injury.
The main event will see Michael Bisping and Cung Le square off in a key middleweight scrap, while welterweights Tyron Woodley and Dong Hyun Kim collide in the co-main event. Woodley replaced recently injured Hector Lombard in the bout.
“Asia has always been a focal point in the UFC’s continued global expansion. Over the past few years, the UFC has grown tremendously in Asia, with Asia now representing nearly half of the UFC’s global TV footprint, reaching 448 million households and more than 1.5 billion individuals,” said Mark Fischer, executive vice president and managing director of UFC Asia, in a statement on UFC.com “Through our strategic partnership with Sands China, we have been able to produce The Ultimate Fighter locally, which had over 115 million viewers in its debut season and has been responsible for cultivating local talent and future UFC stars.”
The current card is below:
Michael Bisping vs. Cung Le
