The NBA Draft is well underway and the picks are starting to fly off the board in very interesting ways. We’ve only seen a handful of trades so far during the draft and the places that some of the prospects are going are totally different from what was projected.

Doug McDermott was traded from the Denver Nuggets to the Chicago Bulls, Gary Harris fell out of the lottery to the Denver Nuggets at No. 19 overall and the Toronto Raptors picked a kid from Brazil that might never play in the NBA.

As for the Memphis Grizzlies, they were sitting pretty at No. 22 overall and ended up going with a safe bet pick in UCLA’s Jordan Adams.

It’s an interesting pick but the Grizzlies believe that they can get something special out of Adams and that he can provide them with scoring that they need. Only time will tell if it was the right pick, but the Grizzlies feel good about Adams and he’s one the better prospects available this late int he first round.
