NBA Draft Results: Thunder select Mitch McGary No. 21 overall

The Oklahoma City Thunder have made their first selection of the 2014 NBA Draft and it was Michigan Wolverines center Mitch McGary with the No. 21 overall pick.

Interestingly enough, it appears that the Thunder had made a secret promise with McGary to make him their first-round pick.

From Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports:

McGary was projected as a late-first, early second-round prospect.

His final year at Michigan, McGary battled through an injury plagued season.

McGary still managed to put together a solid year and he could become a decent contributor at the next level if he is able to keep his health in check. That will be the biggest question as he prepares to enter his rookie year.

Be sure to stay tuned to throughout the remainder of the night for the latest news, rumors and results from the 2014 NBA Draft.
