Ever since the injury to Joel Embiid and subsequent surgery, the apple of the Cleveland Cavaliers’ eye, it’s been all but considered a fact that they will trade out of the no. 1 overall spot, since they can’t seem to decide between Jabari Parker and Andrew Wiggins. One of the better offers they have received from is from the Orlando Magic.

More from Cleveland Cavaliers

The Magic are reportedly prepared to give up the no. 4 and no. 12 overall picks in Thursday night’s event, and according to Jake Fischer of the Boston Herald, the growing consensus as time moves on this draft day is that the deal with get done and the Magic will be selecting no. 1 overall.

There’s no telling at this point which player specifically they are targeting with the top pick, although much like everyone else that wants to get to the top, it will be either Parker or Wiggins.

To add to this potential deal getting done, there has also been word early Thursday that the Cavaliers are already shopping the picks they would receive from Orlando, making this one of the more exciting drafts we’ve seen in quite some time.

And it appears the excitement will indeed get kicked off with a pick from the Orlando Magic.
