NBA Rumors: Houston Rockets agree to trade Jeremy Lin
By Josh Hill
The Houston Rockets were the talk of free agency last year when they roped Dwight Howard in from Los Angeles and signed him to a massive deal. It appears that they’re back at it a year later as the Houston Rockets are preparing to make a run at both LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony in hopes of landing one or both of them.

Houston needed to dump Omer Asik and Jeremy Lin though to have any hope of possibly landing either LeBron or Melo and one of those two players has already been dealt. Omer Asik is now in New Orleans and the Rockets reportedly have agreed to trade Jeremy Lin but only if they know for a guaranteed fact that they will be landing a top free agent.
Houston trading Lin has been something we’ve been hearing about for months now and it might finally happen. But there’s no guarantee that the Rockets will be landing LeBron or Melo in the summer which means that Lin very well could be on the roster to start the 2014-15 season.
As much as Rockets fans love to hate him, having Lin back wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world, but it’ll be juxtaposed against losing LeBron and/or Melo which by default makes Lin’s return to Houston something Rockets fans now want to see even less than they did before.
