The clock is ticking on the premiere of the upcoming Marvel adventure Guardians of the Galaxy. For those of you counting, there are only about 5 more weeks until the film finally hits theaters nationwide.
Earlier this morning, we showed you a new action-packed Extended TV Spot for the upcoming adventure.
Now, thanks to the good people over at Marvel, we have a look at seven new images from the film.
Two of the new images focus in on the Guardians’ ship, which is known as The Milano.
In the first of the two images, we see The Milano peacefully making its way through space.
In the next one, we see it approaching Knowhere. From the looks of things, this can’t possibly be a good thing.
Next, we get a look at The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies actor Lee Pace as Ronan the Accuser.
This brings us to the maniac known as Drax the Destroyer, who is played in the film by Dave Bautista.
Then, we have a look at Peter Quill as he soars through the air. Quill, or as some of you know him Star-Lord, is played in the film by Chris Pratt.
Next, we have a look at Groot, who is voiced in the film by Fast & Furious 7 actor Vin Diesel.
Last, but certainly not least, we have a look at Groot’s traveling partner Rocket Raccoon, who is voiced in the film by Bradley Cooper. You can see this image at the top of the page.
The film is being directed by James Gunn. The script for the film was penned by Gunn alongside rookie screenwriter Nicole Perlman.
Guardians of the Galaxy stars Chris Pratt as Peter Quill a.k.a. Star-Lord, Zoe Saldana as the beautiful assassin Gamora, Dave Bautista as Drax the Destroyer, and the voice talents of Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel as Rocket Raccoon and Groot.
The film also stars The Hobbit actor Lee Pace, Michael Rooker, Doctor Who’s Karen Gillan, Benicio del Toro, John C. Reilly, Djimon Hounsou, and many more.
Guardians of the Galaxy is scheduled to be released in RealD 3D, IMAX 3D, and Conventional Theaters on August 1, 2014.
