Tim Lincecum had the perfect outfit for celebrating his no-hitter in the clubhouse with his Giants teammates. A USMNT jersey and gladiator helmet.

More from MLB

Tim Lincecum is the kind of warrior who would gladly lay down his life in the arena for the entertainment of the Roman populace. He would also gladly take on Germany on the World Cup soccer pitch.

But neither of those things will be happening any time soon, so Lincecum will have to settle for owning the hell out of the San Diego Padres.

Two years, two no-hitters against the Padres. Whatever scouting reports the Padres are using to prepare for Lincecum…yeah, I’d go ahead and burn those.

I don’t know what wackiness Lincecum got up to last night in celebration of his no-hitter, but I do know what he’ll be doing today: watching Gladiator on Blu Ray and then turning on the USA-Germany match. And he’ll almost certainly be baked the whole time.

Tim Lincecum knows how to have fun. Any man who keeps a soccer jersey and a Spartan helmet ready to celebrate in just in case he pitches a no-hitter…that is a crazy mofo.
