Figure skating Grand Prix assignments: Gracie Gold, Ashley Wagner lead US entries

The figure skating Grand Prix 2014 assignments have been handed out, so we know which competitors will be competing in what events the top competitors will be participating in as they attempt to qualify for the Grand Prix Final in Barcelona from Dec. 11-14.

Among the United States skaters receiving assignments are Olympic medalists Gracie Gold, Ashley Wagner, Jason Brown and Jeremy Abbott.

We will also see Polina Edmunds, who had an impressive showing at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, along with Mirai Nagasu, Maia and Alex Shibutani and Madison Chock and Evan Bates.

All of the fun will begin with Skate America in Chicago from Oct. 24-26.
