In a post on the Battle.net forums, Blizzard community manager Aratil revealed the details about the initial launch of the expansion. He added that there were still a number of bug fixes to do before the add-on was ready to roll out to the public.

“Just wanted to give everyone a head’s up that we are currently targeting to release Curse of Naxxramas during the month of July,” he wrote. “Unfortunately, we still have a lot of implementing and bug fixing to get through, so please stay tuned!

“With that said, we are also targeting to reveal pricing details regarding Curse of Naxxramas next week on July 1st, so please keep an eye out for that.”

If you don’t know what Curse of Naxxramas is, it’s a single-player expansion that takes place in a five-wing adventure with various battles and a boss to fight in each wing. Each wing will be released separately, and will be available to be unlocked using real money, or in-game gold. The only two wings that will be completely free will be the first and last.

The expansion will add 30 new cards to the game, all of which can be unlocked by complete various tasks.

Mike’s Musings: I’m already hooked on this game now, but when Naxxramas launches, I can only imagine how much more time I’ll spend with this game. Hopefully this expansion is the first of many new add-ons to a game that has become one of the most popular free-to-play titles in the world.
