A.J. Pierzynski is easy to dislike, fans, players, and coaches, all seem to have an issue with this guy. Of course, he also has his supporters. A classic guy where there’s no middle ground and everybody is a passionate about him.

Despite everyobdy’s feelings on Pierzynski, the way he got ejected a couple weeks ago on June 4th was pretty funny. After the Red Sox walked Cleveland Indians shortstop Asdrubal Cabrera, Pierzynski turned towards the umpire and said

"“Give me a new ball. One you can see.”"

Ouch. Obviously the umpire didn’t care for Pierzynski’s words too much and decided that was enough baseball that day for him and off to the showers he went.

While fans and media don’t usually know exactly how players get themselves ejected, this one came out from a post by MLB.com’s Anthony Castrovince where he goes over how ejections are on the rise this season. Funny considering people were worried that instant replay would get rid of them.

There’s no way when Pierzynski decided he was going to tell that to the ump he was getting ejected. For one, arguing balls and strikes is an automatic ejection, but disrespecting the ump on top of that? All he had to do was go postal after the ejection, put on a show, and he would have hit the baseball ejection trifecta.

While this is a funny way to get ejected, it will probably just polarize Pierzynski even more. Those who don’t like him will say he hurt his team by getting ejected. The ones who do like him will either laugh at it or say he was just telling the ump how it is.
