The NBA Draft has come and gone and teams are now looking at free agency to improve their teams. No one can make any moves until free agency opens on July 1st, but that doesn’t means teams all over the league can’t start be put together a strategy to see whi they can try to come away with and who is out of their range.

For the Los Angeles Lakers, they still plan on trying to pair Carmelo Anthony and LeBron James, like the first suggested a few weeks ago which started all the pairing rumors elsewhere in the league. But should the miss on LeBron James, which seems very likely, ESPN’s Chris Broussard reports that the Lakers would then target pairing Chris Bosh with Carmelo Anthony over the summer.

It’s a bold plan and it’s one that might also not work out for the Lakers. There’s a rumor making the rounds at the moment that the Raptors and Heat are working on a sign-and-trade that might cause Bosh to opt out and return to Toronto this summer.

That’s all speculation at the moment, but should Bosh have eyes on returning to a more than halfway decent Raptors team, he may not want to come to Los Angeles just o collect checks. Bosh and Melo in Los Angeles makes some sense but making it happen might be harder than they think.
