Phoenix Coyotes officially become Arizona Coyotes

On Friday, the Phoenix Coyotes transition was finally complete. No longer bearing the Phoenix name, the Coyotes have officially become the Arizona Coyotes on the day of the start of the 2014 NHL Draft.

The Coyotes will continue to play their home games at Jobing.com Arena just outside of Phoenix in Glendale, Arizona.

The only changes will be the name and some slight altering to their logo to make sure the Arizona name is present. It is an exciting time for the Coyotes as they begin their re-branding, so hopefully that will translate to some success on the ice in the 2014-15 season.
