The 2014 NHL Draft has come and gone, and the short term, and potentially long term, futures of hundreds of young men have been determined.
The top players went where they were expected to go, while some players made pretty substantial slides down the draft board, including a couple, like Ivan Barbeshev, who were ranked higher up on the final FanSided NHL Draft big board.
The Florida Panthers are a team that feels they are a lot better than a team “worthy” of the first overall pick. With the selection of Aaron Ekblad at the top and potential-filled forwards Juho Lammikko and Joe Wegwerth, the Panthers could have just set themselves up nicely to be out of this position for quite a while.
