Hardin camped with the Bulldogs two weeks ago and picked up an offer. After receiving an offer from the Tennessee Volunteers and heading out west to check out the California Golden Bears and Stanford Cardinal, he came to a decision.
Dan Legge of DawgPost.com has the scoop on Hardin.
"“He battled. Mark Richt, Will Friend, Mike Bobo and Tracy Rocker worked Hardin and watched his every rep it seemed,” Scout.com recruiting analyst Chad Simmons said. “They really pushed him until he couldn’t go anymore.”The criticism of Hardin is that he plays for a school that runs an option-based offense — Marist. The War Eagles rarely throw the ball, so that means Hardin will have to develop not just physically, but in pass protection as well.“He is still learning pass protection and struggled there at times,” Simmons said. “But he is athletic, flexible and smart. His upside seems high, but Hardin needs time to develop his technique and physically.”"
The 6’6, 260-pound Hardin is a local product. He attends the Marist School in Atlanta, Georgia. Hardin is ranked as the country’s 60th-best offensive tackle prospect, the 46th-best overall prospect from the state of Georgia and the 493rd-best overall prospect in the class of 2015, according to 24/7 Sports’ composite rankings.
Hardin also holds offers from the Duke Blue Devils, Kansas State Wildcats and Miami Hurricanes, among others.
He becomes the 13th-member of the Bulldogs’ 2015 recruiting class, which is headlined by 5-star athlete Terry Godwin. The class ranks eighth nationally and sixth in the SEC.
