A new video has been released showing off some of the major visual improvements coming to EA Sports’ FIFA 15 on the next-gen PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles.
The video details the looks of the players, which EA Sports is touting as the most realistic players every created in a FIFA game. Players like Lionel Messi and Clint Dempsey were shown as examples for just how real EA Sports is aiming to make their players look.
New features like hair movement and visible breathing will also help FIFA 15 bring its players to life.
It’s getting to the point where you won’t be able to tell the difference between the players before too long.
Kits will now get dirtier from mud and grass as the matches play out, along with visually looking wet if a match is being played in the rain. The playing surface inside stadiums will also be impacted throughout contests. Cleat marks and slide tackles will have weather the look of the pitch as matches progress.
Stadiums will feature animated LED boards, goal posts rattle and shake when struck by a shot and corner flags will actually move when a ball, or player, comes in contact with them.
EA Sports is clearly aiming to make FIFA 15 the most advanced looking sports, let alone soccer, title on the next-gen market. If this video is any indication, the development team is well on its way to being just that.
