France vs. Nigeria starting XI and lineups

On Monday afternoon, the 2014 FIFA World Cup Round of 16 continues with a meeting between 2006 World Cup finalist France and Nigeria at Estádio Nacional de Brasilia in Brasília.

France enters the match as the favorite, but Nigeria has shown some signs of potential throughout the group stage and they could prove to be a tough side for the French to get past. Nigeria’s strong showing against Argentina should give them all of the confidence they need to prove they can hang with the best in the world.

Ahead of today’s match, both sides announced their starting XI that will be taking the field.

Karim Benzema will be looking to pace the French attack and build on the three goals and two assists that he recorded during the group stage.

The winner of today’s match will advance to the quarterfinals where they will take on the winner of Germany vs. Algeria, who play later today at Estádio Beira-Rio in Porto Alegre.
