The NBA offseason has hit the free agency period and things are going to be especially intense this year as the Miami Heat’s Big 3 who they assembled in free agency back in 2010 have all opted out of their deals and are currently without a team.

More from Miami Heat

The purpose of this tactic is to put pressure on the Heat to make the signings that they ned to make in order to make the team better than it was this year, as a massive opportunity was missed and no one is happy about it.

Both Ken Berger and Ethan J. Skolnick are refuting reports that Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh have agreed to take significant pay cuts to allow for free agents to be signed in Miami this summer.

David Aldridge from TNT and NBA.com also joined in with his collegaues to pump the brakes on the reports about Wade and Bosh.

It’s not ludicrous to think that any of the Big 3 will be taking less money to allow for free agent talent to surround them but it’s also not a given that they will either. Their pay cuts weren’t that steep the first go-around and this time they may take a little more but we shouldn’t automatically expect the cuts to be deep.

We’re still in the infant stages of Miami hunting for free agents and there’s a good chance that before the Big 3 agree to any sort of pay cuts, they’ll know what they’re giving their money up for well in advance.
