Yes, the White House got involved with the World Cup and the USMNT again. This is serious.

The White House tweeted congratulations after the Germany game, too. And Doug Mills shows President Barack Obama watching the game aboard Air Force One with some chips, soda and… is that wine I see? No, it’s not in front of him. And, yes it could be apple juice.

The White House is pretty on-point as far as the US game plan is concerned. The US is not as talented as the Belgium roster and need to find a way to demonstrate grit and hard work to get a victory, or else, it’s elimination and World Cup irrelevance for the US. Everyone will have to resort to rooting for the country where they studied abroad — yuck. Twitter responded, as it always does, with skepticism, sarcasm and occasional patriotism.
