Bill Murray gets almost fatherly in new trailer for St. Vincent (Video)


We may have about four more months to wait until the film is finally released; however, that doesn’t mean it’s too early to get a look at the upcoming comedy St. Vincent.

Thanks to the good people over at Yahoo! Movies, we have a look at the official trailer for the upcoming comedy.

This is a rather interesting roll for Bill Murray. Murray plays the role of a disgruntled war veteran by the name of St. Vincent de Van Nuys.

When Maggie, who is played in the film by Melissa McCarthy, and her son Oliver, who is played by newcomer Jaeden Lieberher, moves in next door, St. Vincent is in for a life changing experiences.

Suddenly, the grumpy and withdrawn man finds himself on a journey that he never expected as he finds himself bonding with Oliver and becoming a sort of mentor, and maybe even father figure for him.

St. Vincent is being directed by Theodore Melfi. This will be the first feature length venture from Melfi. Melfi is also penning the screenplay for the upcoming comedy.

There is definitely a lot of comedic talent set to star in the St. Vincent. Bill Murray is set to play the titular character in the film. St. Vincent also stars Tammy actress Melissa McCarthy, Diana actress Naomi Watts, Jaeden Lieberher, Chris O’Dowd, Terrence Howard, Nate Corddry, and many more.

St. Vincent is scheduled to be released on October 24, 2014.
