Five-year-old Nijee is boxing's future (Video)

Float like a butterfly and sting like a baby? This five-year-old boxing phenom is the next Muhamad Ali, the future of boxing.

For anyone that thought America was getting obese and unathletic, let young Nijee serve as a reminder that there are still athletic prodigies amongst the American youth. He’s taking the internet by storm. The title “Nijee the Future” has spread quickly.

He’s got the feet and hands of an elite athlete, but he’s so little. Check out this video.

Nijee clearly has his routine down and memorized, or he’s an insane mini-ninja — or both. There is video of the little guy back when he was a four-year-old with his father. The kid punches harder than I could. Listen to the pop on the pads as he hammers away.

It’s hard to make any actual assessment about the kid’s future as a boxer, but it’s also hard not to think that he’s got something special. Kids just aren’t that good at boxing at age five. Nijee future has a little something extra. What do you think of Nijee’s potential? Do you think that he will be able to make it as a pro boxer some day?
