New TV Spot for Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (Video)

In just eight more days, seven if you were lucky enough to get tickets to one of the early screenings, we will finally witness the return of the Planet of the Apes saga with the release of Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.

Yesterday, we showed you a new featurette that took you behind the scenes of the upcoming adventure and showed fans some of the sets from the film and what went into creating the world.

Now, we have a look at a new TV Spot for the film that shows the humans in a rather precarious position.

After the outbreak of the Simian Flu destroyed life as we knew it, a small group of humans managed to make it through the devastation. When they decide to emerge, they stumble upon a camp where the apes have made their home.

Blinded by the prejudices that came with the outbreak of the Simian Flu, panic sets in and the surviving humans begin plotting against the apes. Unfortunately, they have no idea what they are up against.

Here is a look at the latest TV Spot for the upcoming film Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.

 

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes is being directed by Matt Reeves, who also directed the first-person monster flick Cloverfield.

The script for the film was penned by screenwriters Rick Jaffa, Amanda Silver, and Mark Bomback. Both Jaffa and Silver penned the script for the last film in the Planet of the Apes saga titled Rise of the Planet of the Apes.

The film stars Keri Russell and Jason Clarke as Malcolm and Ellie. Dawn of the Planet of the Apes also stars Judy Greer, Andy Serkis, Toby Kebbell, Angela Kerecz, Gary Oldman and many more.

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes is scheduled to be released in Digital 3D and Real 3D on July 11, 2014.
