Rays' have a Tommy Tutone 867-5309 line up card

“Jenny, I got your number
I need to make you mine
Jenny, don’t change your number
867-5309
867-5309
867-5309
867-5309″

The most famous Tommy Tutone song and one that probably gets stuck into your head every now and then. Well the Tampa Bay Rays released their batting order for their game tonight against the Detroit Tigers and it has a familiar theme,

8 – Desmond Jennings
6 – Ben Zobrist
7 – Matt Joyce
5 – Evan Longoria
3 – James Loney
0 – Vince Belnome
9 – Ryan Hanigan

And sorry Cole Figueroa, your No. 2 spot doesn’t fit into the order and you’re at the bottom of the list. this is probably purely coincidental, but it is awesome regardless. More teams should try and sneak messages into their batting orders, but what other numbers combination of numbers could we use? Surely there isn’t one more famous than this, if you can think of one let me know in the comments.

If you need a little reminder, or the song is not stuck in your head yet, here you go:
