Derrick Rose did not participate in Bulls’ Carmelo Anthony pitch

There were reports that during Carmelo Anthony’s visit with the Chicago Bulls on the first day of NBA Free Agency, that oft-injured and former MVP point guard Derrick Rose worked out for him. Now ESPN’s Chris Broussard is reporting that Rose did not officially take place in the recruiting of Carmelo and did not work out for him.
He just happened to be working out and Carmelo Anthony showed up.
"“Derrick wasn’t bothered that he wasn’t a part of it,” a source said. “He was just kind of shocked, like ‘Man, I didn’t get the memo.'”“Derrick was just working out, shooting jumpers, going through his normal routine,” a source said. “He didn’t even know what time Melo was coming.”"
Rose reportedly does work out daily at the United Center. But I’m not buying that they just happened to stumble upon Rose, they probably knew full well that they would and that they could let Anthony get a glimpse at Rose’s recovery.
How would Rose not have known Anthony was going to be there that day. He didn’t pull up to the United Center and notice that there were large photoshopped images of Melo in a Bulls uniform everywhere?
Rose hasn’t turned on SportsCenter in the past few weeks? Not even to check out that new set?
