Although much of the sports world is focused on the NBA free agency period, today may provide a bit of respite from the madness as it is the Fourth of July, or better known as America’s Independence Day.

More from LeBron James

LeBron James, who is undoubtedly the marquee free agent in the NBA right now after opting out of his contract with the Miami Heat a few weeks back, is currently on vacation with his family while his agent meets with teams on James’ behalf during free agency.

Although LeBron is on vacation out of the country, he is never far from the media spotlight. Today, LeBron took the time to wish everyone a Happy 4th of July, as well as saluting our troops and thanking them for their service:

LeBron has always been a class act, and continues to prove it with each successive season and action he commits. As the spotlight grows on James, he persistently rises to the occasion without ever faltering.

Let’s just hope he never has an hour special on ESPN to declare his “decision” ever again. In the end, pundits still believe that LeBron will ultimately return to south beach to pursue the Heat’s fifth straight NBA Finals appearance.
