And: Veteran signal-caller Chad Henne picks up where he left off down the stretch this past season.

After a rocky start in 2013, the one-time Miami Dolphins quarterback bounced back well late in the season for Bradley’s club. In the team’s final five outings, Henne combined to thrown nine touchdown passes compared to only five interceptions. That compares to his first 10 appearances of the season, when he was picked off nine times while throwing for only four scores.

Still, when it was all said and done in 2013, Jacksonville managed a league-low 247 points. The club reached the 30-point mark just once in 16 games and the offensive unit scored only 23 touchdowns. Still, if you’re looking for a silver lining, Bradley’s squad did average 20.1 points per contest during its 4-4 finish, compared to totaling a mere 86 points during the Jaguars’ 0-8 start.

And looking is just what general manager David Caldwell did in terms of offensive talent this offseason. He added running back Toby Gerhart and guard Zane Beadles via free agency and also drafted a pair of wideouts in the second round of May’s draft in Marqise Lee and Allen Robinson. Six of the team’s nine selections were on the offensive side of the ball, including third overall pick and quarterback of the future Blake Bortles.

As for some of the returning talent in terms of the skill positions, wide receivers Cecil Shorts and Ace Sanders and tight end Marcedes Lewis combined for 142 receptions and just eight touchdown grabs this past season.

Finally, here are some humbling totals when it comes to this club. Over the past three seasons, the Jaguars have scored a combined 745 points and 76 total touchdowns in 48 games.

In 2013, the Super Bowl-bound Denver Broncos set NFL records with 606 points and 76 total touchdowns.
