Sacramento Kings to get new jerseys? (Photo)

Every offseason we see some minor changes to NBA team uniforms. We’ve already seen such with the Boston Celtics and Golden State Warriors who have added new, secondary patches to their uniforms. Now the Sacramento Kings may have hoped on that bandwagon, though they’ve made a bigger change than just a patch.

Minority Sacramento Kings owner, Andy Miller recently hinted that a logo transformation was on the way though didn’t give a timeline. The most likely scenario is that the Kings will have a complete uniform overhaul when they open their new downtown arena come the 2016 season. However, possibly trying to distance themselves from the previous Maloof ownership group, it appears as if Kings may have a new look for the upcoming season, though the changes are somewhat minor.
In recent weeks we’ve seen the Sacramento Kings using their old uniform script which was used during their run atop the league in the late 90’s and early 2000’s. The logo was used on the underside of their draft cap and it’s also been used on Kings.com.
Now George Takata, a news anchor for Fresno’s KSEE 24 has apparently got his hands on a retailer catalog for the upcoming season which seems to indicate the Kings will have a new (more like old) logo on their chest, replacing ‘Sacramento’ which was used for the past few seasons.
How say you, FanSided? Do you like the rumored new look better? Or did you prefer the old style? It’s not a big change, but I like the vintage look.
