Make of this what you will, but Damien Harris (Berea, Ken. Madison Southern), the No. 1 running back in the 247Sports Composite Rankings and one of the top uncommitted recruits, is wearing a Michigan hat at Nike’s “The Opening.”

More from College Football

Harris is the nation’s No. 23 overall recruit regardless of position and the No. 1 recruit in the state of Kentucky after rushing for 2,621 yards and 42 touchdowns as a junior en route to winning the 2013 Gatorade Kentucky Player of the Year.

The 5-11, 205-pound back with 4.4 speed in the 40-yard dash released a top-eight on June 6 consisting of Ohio State, Kentucky, Alabama, Oregon, Florida, Florida State, Michigan and Notre Dame.

Harris previously committed to the Wolverines on July 29, 2014 but decommitted and opened up his recruitment on January 21, 2014 which led to a number of crystal ball predictions for the rival Buckeyes on 247Sports. Currently, 72 percent of the votes are in favor of Ohio State with Michigan receiving 15 and in-state Kentucky getting 13 percent of the votes.

Michigan fans undoubtedly will consider this good news that he showed up in Michigan gear, but the best news to come out of his arrival is that he will attend the Barbecue at The Big House at Michigan this summer.

Harris also plans to visit Alabama, Kentucky and Ohio State this summer before concentrating on the start of his senior season.

Is Harris trolling Michigan fans with his hat choice or do you think this a window into his thought process and the Wolverines are indeed the team to beat for the No. 1 running back in the nation?
