Beaverton, Ore. may be the mecca of college football recruiting over the next week, as both the Elite 11 quarterback finals and The Opening take place on the Nike campus. It’s an extra opportunity to learn from some of the best and put yourself in front of recruiters and scouts once again.

According to reports after two days of the Elite 11 finals, it appears Alabama quarterback commit Blake Barnett has really impressed those in attendance. In fact, 247Sports recruiting analyst Barton Simmons called him the best quarterback in attendance.

“Alabama commit Blake Barnett is the biggest prospect in attendance and while some others may have had more eye-popping plays, no one is as steady and consistent as Barnett. Everything is effortless, his body is always calm and deliberate and he rarely misses,” wrote Simmons.

Barnett is one of 18 quarterbacks in the Elite 11 finals and the praise isn’t just from 247Sports analysts in attendance either.

At 6’4″ and 200 pounds, Barnett is the No. 3-ranked dual-threat quarterback and the No. 10-ranked player in the state of California.

He has been committed to the Crimson Tide for just under a month, choosing them after decommitting from Notre Dame in early June.
