The LeBron James saga has certainly reached some wild levels within the last 24 hours, and it took another turn on Monday afternoon as Pat Riley and the Miami Heat got a little proactive in the attempt to bring him back to Miami by agreeing to terms with Josh McRoberts and Danny Granger.

Now whether or not these two particular moves will have any affect on James’ decision remains to be seen, however, as Adrian Wojnarowski pointed out just a short time ago, both of them agreed with the team on Monday with the understanding that they would be teammates of LeBron this season.

Both Granger and McRobeerts are solid role players, but as far as being enough to convince James to make a return to South Beach for the next few seasons, that’s definitely debatable.

Nonetheless, you do have to commend the efforts of Riley by at least trying to get some momentum going as he tries relentlessly to fight off the Cleveland Cavaliers, who are deep in the hunt right now to bring LeBron back home.

While there is a chance that McRoberts and Granger won’t get the chance to play with the King, hey, they at least got some nice new contracts out of all this, especially McRoberts.
