NFL: Jason Garrett, 10 coaches on the hot seat in 2014
By Kim Myers
Mike Smith – Atlanta Falcons
Mike Smith’s seat might not be white hot just yet; he’s got the support of the front office and even got a contract extension this offseason. However, if the Falcons don’t flip the switch from the 4-12 disaster that was the 2013 season Smith is going to feel some pretty intense heat coming from his chair. The head coach is likely the one to be taking the fall if the team doesn’t bounce back. You can excuse one bad season for injuries and such but back-to-back bad seasons will most likely get Mike Smith an empty box for which to collect his belongings out of his office.
