NFL: Jason Garrett, 10 coaches on the hot seat in 2014
By Kim Myers
Rex Ryan – New York Jets
Rex Ryan’s seat was hot last season but he managed to survive and even got an extension through the 2015 season. Typically, when there is a change of general managers the head coach is one of the first changes the new GM will make but Ryan got himself not one but two seasons to prove his worth to the new GM. If the Jets fail to make the playoffs again, however, the pressure is back on Rex big time. Rex Ryan’s job security is at stake with Geno Smith and Michael Vick leading the offense. That’s a pretty hot seat.
