Future of Star Trek Online to be revealed in Las Vegas

One of my regrets is that I never got to check out the Star Trek Experience at the Las Vegas Hilton before it shut down. As Vegas regrets go, it’s a pretty tame one, but it would have been cool to see.

It’s too late for that barring some sci-fi time travel antics, but annyone who wants the lowdown on the future of Star Trek Online can get it by going to … Las Vegas! Cryptic Studios and Perfect World Entertainment are sending STO lead designer Al Rivera, producer Stephen Ricossa and lead artist Brad Stokan, as well as community manager Trevor “CaptainSmirk” McNesby to Creation Entertainment’s Star Trek Las Vegas 2014 to fill in attendees on what’s ahead.

Fittingly, the session will take place in the Gene and Majel Roddenberry Theatre at the Rio on Saturday, August 2 at 2 pm. Media members will also be able to speak to developers one-on-one, so FanSided, if you’d like to send me, I’m game!

Perfect World is also running a contest that will award two four-day passes to the entire Star Trek Las Vegas event, and you can find the details for that right here.

Star Trek Online is a free-to-play MMO that can be downloaded through the Arc client or at sto.perfectworld.com.
