Whether your love of Star Wars dates all the way back to the original release of Star Wars: A New Hope, or just Star Wars as it was known back then, or whether you joined the ranks with the release of the prequel trilogy, you probably know by now that Star Wars fans are some of the most rabid collectors in the world.
Whether it is pins, replicas, lithographs, action figures, original artwork, or anything else you little galactic heart can imagine, Star Wars fans want it.
With that being said, I have a feeling that the more dedicated collectors are about to have their minds blown.
Thanks to Sideshow Collectibles, who also brought you a life-sized Boba Fett Figure and a life-sized rendition of Han Solo frozen in Carbonite, you can now own a life-sized and ridiculously awesome Darth Vader figure.
That is…if you have $8,000. The good news is, if you don’t have the cash up front, you can also make payments, which are nothing short of a month’s rent, on the collectible. The payments come out to about $719.90 a month for a full year.
Honestly, I am at a loss for words at how amazing this truly is. The figure stands approximately 7 feet tall, stand included, and weighs about 105 pounds.
According to IGN, the character was recreated based off of Vader’s appearance in Return of the Jedi. The statue comes on a cinematic light-up display case, a hand-tailored quilted suit, screen-accurate armor, and sequencing electronics in the chest box and belt.
As if this wasn’t cool enough already, he comes with interchangeable hands so you can recreate all your favorite scenes with some classic Vader gestures.
You really have to see this to believe it. Take a look for yourselves.
Now, we all know that those of you who have the money are going to rush out and get one so that when Halloween rolls around, you can scare the bejesus out of every single kid in the neighborhood. Now…how do we make this thing talk?
