We are a scant 10 days away from NFL teams trudging into training camps around the country and beginning the process of setting rosters and depth charts for the 2014 season.

The Buffalo Bills—still in the process of finding an owner following the death of franchise founder Ralph Wilson in March—are the first team to report to camp on July 18.

By the time the Detroit Lions roll in on July 27, every other team will be in the process of banging pads and watching film.

So what are the top story lines moving into the season? It could be said there are at least 32 every year, one for every team in the league, but that’s the story line every season.

As is always the case, there are some stories that transcend the natural progression of things, be it a controversy, a quest for a milestone, or merely questions that will be answered over the course of a 17-week odyssey.

With that, here are the top five storylines heading into camp:
