When writer/director/producer Kevin Smith digs into a project, he certainly gives it his everything. The same can be said about his latest project Tusk.
It has been a year since Smith started talking about the upcoming horror film Tusk.
Now, after fans have been left in anticipation for almost a full year, Smith has finally released the first official poster for the upcoming film.
I am sure that there are a few of you out there who have not yet heard of the Clerks director’s latest film. For those of you, here is a quick look at the synopsis for the film courtesy of IMDb.com.
“When his best friend and podcast co-host goes missing in the backwoods of Canada, a young guy joins forces with his friend’s girlfriend to search for him.”
This seems like a pretty simple concept; however, Smith has made his entire career of taking films with a incredibly simple concept and creating characters that so many people can identify with on multiple levels that they quickly turn into cult classics like Clerks, Mallrats, and Chasing Amy.
This is also not the director’s first venture into the horror genre. Smith is also responsible for the creepy horror flick Red State back in 2011.
I think fans have waited long enough. Here is a look at the first official poster for the upcoming horror film Tusk from director Kevin Smith.
There is some more good news heading the way of Kevin Smith fans. In addition to the poster you just saw, there will be a trailer coming later this month.
As I am sure that you are already aware, the film was both written and directed by Kevin Smith.
The film has plenty of recognizable names in the cast. Tusk stars Alpha House’s Haley Joel Osment, Drag Me To Hell actor Justin Long, Ralph Garman, Michael Parks, Genesis Rodriguez, Harley Morenstein, and more.
Tusk is slated to be released later this year.
