The world of Twitter is an interesting place as literally anything can happen and it often times does. When big news is about to break, Twitter is a particularly untrustworthy place and the pending LeBron James decision is the latest example of an event bringing out the trolls in everyone.

More from Cleveland Browns

New Cleveland Browns wide receiver Andrew Hawkins is the latest person on Twitter to let their inner troll shine through as he trolled Cleveland Cavaliers fans hard with an old ESPN article that reported LeBron James had signed.

The article is very real — it’s just real from 2006 and not 2014. LeBron was supposed to make a decision today at 3:30pm ET but never showed up or even made a whisper that he was going to announce anything which has led to perhaps the biggest false start of the offseason.

Another thing to take away from this is that LeBron was worth just $60 million back in 2006 and will be signing a max contract no matter where he ends up going this summer. Eight years has seen LeBron accomplish a lot and to think he was once a less than max player seems ridiculous to consider.
