The Miami Heat are desperately trying to get LeBron James to stay in South Beach next season and they may be getting some help from a guy who the Cleveland Cavaliers might end up banking on to help them get LeBron back.

More from LeBron James

It has been pointed out that a good way to get LeBron back in Cleveland is to have Kevin Love waiting there for him to pair with in the Cavs frontcourt. There’s been no indication from the Wolves that they intend on trading Love to the Cavs but there’s not a possibility that the Heat could be in play for him.

According to Steve Bulpett of the Boston Herald, there is now a growing belief that Kevin Love will try to convince LeBron James to stay in Miami so that he can sign there in the summer of 2015 when he opts out of his deal with the Timberwolves and bolts to a new team.

"“I don’t know what to think anymore, but guys are saying there’s no way Love stays with Minnesota,” the GM said. “And if they don’t trade him, he’ll just opt out next summer and go play with LeBron [James] in Miami.”"

Of course, this would take Love convincing LeBron that he’d follow him to Miami next season and that’s something that is a lot easier said than done. The financials of it need to be figured out but beyond that, Love needs to retain interest in the Heat for an entire season in order to keep his worked to LeBron and Miami.

It’s an interesting scenario and it just goes to show how wild and out of control this whole LeBron free agency trip has been and is capable of getting in what appears to be the 11th hour.
