Tomorrow, the battle to be the world’s most dominant species will finally begin when the latest installment in the Planet of the Apes saga Dawn of the Planet of the Apes opens in theaters nationwide.

On Monday, we showed you a new TV Spot for the upcoming adventure that showed the start of the war between the apes and the human survivors.

Now, we have a look at a new featurette for the sci-fi drama that shows that the apes never really wanted a war to begin with.

In the featurette, we take a look at the scene in the film where the apes and the humans come together to have their meeting. Caesar tells Malcolm that the apes do not want a war and to leave and never come back.

Unfortunately, we all know that this was not meant to be. Paranoia is sometimes part of the human condition, and it got the better of the survivors. The question is which side will ultimately become the dominant species?

While we ponder that, let’s take a look at the new featurette for the upcoming film Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes is being directed by Matt Reeves, who also directed the first-person monster flick Cloverfield.

The script for the film was penned by screenwriters Rick Jaffa, Amanda Silver, and Mark Bomback. Both Jaffa and Silver penned the script for the last film in the Planet of the Apes saga titled Rise of the Planet of the Apes.

The film stars Keri Russell and Jason Clarke as Malcolm and Ellie. Dawn of the Planet of the Apes also stars Judy Greer, Andy Serkis, Toby Kebbell, Angela Kerecz, Gary Oldman and many more.

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes is scheduled to be released in Digital 3D and Real 3D on July 11, 2014.
