Ali Larter not returning for Heroes Reborn

Ever since announcement was made that the popular sci-fi series Heroes would be returning to television in the form of a new series named Heroes: Reborn, there has been speculation as to which stars from the original series would be returning to the franchise to reprise their roles.

Unfortunately, we can now tell you one actress who will not be back for the new series.

According to TV Guide, actress Ali Larter will not be returning to reprise her role as the super strong Niki Sanders.

She is not the first person to shoot down the possibility of a return to the show.

At the end of June, actor Milo Ventimiglia announced that he would also not be returning to the new series, but that he wished the cast and crew the best.

In a bit of good news, those who are still looking to see Ali Larter on television will not have to search very far. The main contributing factor to her inability to reprise her role in Heroes Reborn is because she is already committed to a television series.

Larter will be playing a FBI Agent by the name of Crystal in the new TNT Original Series Legends alongside Game of Thrones actor Sean Bean.

Larter explained to TV Guide that she loved Heroes, but is at a simply at a different point in her life.

“At this point, I think I’ve heard that Jack [Coleman] is coming back, but I’m committed to [TNT's] Legends. I’m on series, so I don’t have the time to work on another project.” She told TV Guide. “Not that I didn’t love Heroes and loved working on it, but I’m just at a different stage of my life. I’m super excited and proud to be a part of this show and working with Sean Bean and an incredible cast.”

Now, as she said in her statement, we will indeed see Jack Coleman in the series, who announced in early June that he would be returning to the series to reprise his role of Noah Bennet, otherwise known to Heroes fans as HRG or the man with the Horn-Rimmed Glasses.

It looks as if we are getting a few of our favorites back for the new series, but there are some, like Larter, who are tied up in other projects right now ad simply not able to make the jump.
