The Cleveland Cavaliers lost LeBron James in a publicly embarrassing way back in 2010 but they’ve forgotten all about that thanks to his returning to the team this summer to continue growing the legacy he hit the pause button on four years ago. But while we all found out about his decision together the first time around, LeBron went about things in a classier way this time.

More from Cleveland Cavaliers

Not only did he make his announcement in the most subtle of ways, ESPN reports that LeBron called up Pat Riley and Mickey Arison to tell them what he had decided so that they’d be the first to know about what he planned on doing.

Windhosrt initially reported that the Cavaliers and Heat found out at the same time the rest of us did but he later corrected that statement to say that the Heat were the first to be informed.

This is both cruel yet fair of LeBron as he at least let his current team know what his intentions were well ahead of time rather than how he handled things with the Cavaliers back in 2010. It’s not as though he had a bad four years with the Heat but they just seem like a dream now that he’s back in Cleveland where he has belonged the entire time.
