Now that LeBron has announced his decision to return to Cleveland, the recruiting trail begins. According to Brian Windhort of ESPN, the four-time MVP has spoken with former teammate Mike Miller about joining him in Cleveland.

This recruiting surprises few. LeBron James made it no secret that he wasn’t fond of the Miami Heat’s decision to amnesty Mike Miller as Miller was pivotal in the Heat’s back-to-back championship runs.

In an interview during his basketball camp, Mike Miller made it know that his free agency decision hinged on what LeBron was going to do.

I’ve got everything on hold just to see what Lebron does,” said Miller at his camp. “I’d be crazy not to at least wait now that we’re this far along. I’m hoping he makes a decision this week, either today or tomorrow. Once I have that, I’ll start getting into discussions with other teams.”

And while Miller has made it known he wants to return to the Memphis Grizzlies, that situation isn’t the end-all, be-all for him.

“If Memphis works out, great. If it doesn’t, I’m still gonna play basketball next season.”

Following this interview, Miller posted this picture on Instagram which hinted at a possible James-Miller reunion if he chose to leave the Miami Heat.

The Cleveland Cavaliers have little cap space to give Miller the $4-$5 million he’s reportedly demanding once they sign James. But with Miller and James being close, a pay cut could be in store for the two to reunite.
